Welcome to the Hollow!
About us :)
Twitch your noses and come on in! You’ve found the home of Anatolian Squirrel, where we spend our days gathering beauty and burying boredom.
We are Juan, hailing from the sun-soaked lands of Mexico, and Beste from the ancient, leafy forests of Turkey. For a long time, we were big-world builders, sign makers making giant signs with heavy tools. But eventually, we followed our whiskers toward something smaller, softer, and a lot more colorful.
The Anatolian (Tree ) Squirrel
We are nuts about ancient cultures and stories! We take our primary inspiration from Anatolia, the Cradle of Civilizations - which, to a squirrel like us, is basically the world’s biggest, oldest, and most treasure-filled oak tree. We forage through cultures, ancient patterns, and nature’s palette to find the acorns of ideas that we turn into art.
Our Handcrafted Foragings
We don't just make things; we gather elements from the earth and weave them into treasures for your nest:
Sparkly Stones: Our bracelets are made with precious crystals, hand-selected like the perfect winter nut. They carry the earth’s energy and a bit of sunshine, too.
Slow-Stitched Softness: Using crochet hooks and mixed-media magic, we create "slow-stitch" items. It’s a rhythmic, cozy process—much like lining a nest with the softest moss and brightest fibers we can find.
Squirrel Philosophy
We love all beings (especially the furry ones!), nature, and the clinking sound of our favorite tools. We believe that life is better when it’s colorful, and that every piece we create should feel like a special gift found on the forest floor.
